Lifetime Estate Planning Audit Review

Estate Planning Audit ReviewThe Levin Law Firm will conduct a free estate planning audit during our initial complimentary consultation to determine whether your current plan fully protects you and your family in the event of your disability or death. More specifically, we will review your current Will, Trust Agreement, Financial Power-of-Attorney, Health Care Proxy, Advanced Medical Directive, and any long-term care insurance you may have, to determine their adequacy.  At this meeting, we will also endeavor to get to know you and your family and determine the estate planning goals which are most important for your family.

If we determine there are deficiencies in your current estate plan, we will recommend the changes you should consider making and within one (1) week, provide you with a written proposal, detailing our recommendations and the cost to design and implement your estate plan. In connection with the preparation of your estate plan, we will help you determine the best selection regarding who should handle your legal, financial, and medical affairs, in the event of your illness, injury or incapacity. Then, we will work together with you to decide:

(a) How, when, and to whom you would like to distribute your property;

(b) The best way to legally avoid unnecessary income, gift, federal estate taxes, and state inheritance taxes;

(c) Who you would like to appoint as executor to settle your estate and trustee to manage assets for specific beneficiaries; and

(d) How to ensure that your property is protected from the claims of potential creditors and stays in your family, in the event that one or more of your beneficiaries should get divorced, suffer a bankruptcy, or have difficulty managing significant portfolio of assets.

If you decide to proceed with our recommendations, we will ask that you please sign and return our Fee Agreement, attached to our Estate Planning Proposal, with a retainer of 50% of the fee quote. Thereafter, we will take immediate action to commence development of your customized estate plan. Only upon execution and implementation of your estate plan will we request payment of the balance of our fee.

As a client of The Levin Law Firm, we will monitor your estate plan, at no charge to you, through a program we developed called the “Lifetime Estate Planning Audit Review”, where where we will provide you with:

(a) A free review of your entire estate plan every three (3) years;
